Greece admits breaking rules before joining euro

According to agency reports, Greek finance minister Giorgios Alogoskoufis, said in Athens, "It was proven that for no year, from 1999 on, and afterwards, the deficit had fallen below three percent [of gross domestic product]".

Does Britain really want to throw it's solid, reliable monetry system based around the pound, and throw it in with the house of cards, that is the Euro?

More and more we hear of fudges, allowences, bending of the rules and outright corruption that has gone on while putting in the foundations of this micky mouse currency. The fact that more and more countries being allowed INTO phpbb_the "club" have not exactly got stable econmies, makes me fear for the whole of Europes future.

Britain will suffer along with everyone if the Euro does collapse, but the longer it goes on for the more painful it will be. We must not allow the pound to be sacrificed to keep this experiment afloat. Europe will need a strong Britain to help it out, when it does eventualy implode!
