EU choose new Commision line ups

What amuses me about this announcement is that Latvia's selection has been booted out as well. They were quite happy to try and slip her through before, but now they have to get rid of the homophobe, they thought they would chop this bit of dead wood out too. It just goes to show that the EU would be happy to let rubbish get through to preserve their image, though I suppose we should be happy that they took this opportunity to make up for it. How come Mandelson is still there then? Probably because he knows how to say Yes in 12 different languages!
