Brown made a big deal of this announcement. My question is why on earth is this only happening now? I think that most of us live under the impression that this would happen the instant they get a whiff of a terrorist organisation. This is weeks too late. I can't believe that it has taken them so long to get to this stage.

Exactly. He might as well have said that they are now banned from buying lottery tickets.

I could have sworn they announced the freezing of ALL terrosist accounts not long after 9/11. What on earth is going on here?
