I thought I would jump the gun and tell you all how the "debate" will go tonight.
Bush Bush says the word terror roughly 50 times. He will say he is strong, while Kerry is weak. He will say you can't trust Kerry to run America, while he has done such a great job. The strange lump will have moved down his back a little. Kerry Kerry will be everything to everyone. He will make Bush look like a shaven chimp again, but will also come across as insincere. Kerry will pat Bush on the back and break his radio linked to Cheney. He will wave to someone in the crowd. The winner Kerry can't lose, even with the puppet masters telling Bush what to do, he will still manage to mess up, just like he always does. The polls (except FO(i)X ) will declare Kerry the winner, for a clean sweep. The US will then go on to vote for Kerry and unless brother Jeb pulls something off again, that will be the last we see of the Bushes for a few years. Tony Blair, just like a faithful dog when his master dies, will look like a beaten man and eventualy hand over to Gordon "Pension Destroyer" Brown.

I think that we could well see Kerry having a lead in the polls after that debate. To me, Bush looked strained and nervous throughout, and several times he just seemed to meander off onto another subject. There were at least three questions that he completely failed to answer at all.
A couple of amusing comments that he made included "I send my budget man down to congress" and "[my wife] speaks english a lot better than me". It could have been a trick of the lighting, but it also looked like Bush had a bit of phlegm in the corner of his mouth for the whole debate. ops: I also noticed that he claimed that the US government had stopped the flu vaccine production because it was contaminated. However, I am fairly certain that it was the British authorities that made this call. Then there was the really fake sounding part during Bush's closing statement when he talked about how had always admired the optimism present in a painting in the White House. That was too obviously written by someone else and didn't sound like Bush talking at all. Something for all public speakers to learn from there. |

3-0 to Kerry. Even ultra Bush supporters have to admit he lost them all by varying degrees. I can't see swing voters (how you can be a swing voter in the states bemuses me) faliing INTO phpbb_the Bush camp now.
Unless the conspiracy theorists are right and they wheel out OBL or another attack on the states happens, then I can't see Kerry losing. I'm pretty sure Bin Ladens mob want Bush to win, they have never had so many people desperate to join them!

Sorry, Osama Bin Laden, or should that be Usama Bin Laden. I seem to see a different name every time I read about him.
