Even City commuters said after 7/7 when the train times had been changed twice that the bombers still could not have got to their destination in 3 minutes? No enquiry allowed. Do you really believe the war on terror?

It was. We went after the terrorists who did 9/11 and the Afghan Taliban state which was sponsoring Al Qaeda.

What many didn't realise was that the former Taliban state of Afghanistan was a off-shoot of the Pakistan state and so we haven't confronted the full problem at source as yet.

Our military have just been trimming at the Afghan Taliban weeds instead of pulling the Taliban weeds out by their roots in Pakistan. Instead our governments have foolishly been fertilising terrorist weed-roots by funding the Pakistani state and allowing others such as the Saudis to fund Pakistani-state sponsoring of the Taliban and associated terrorism.
Yawn!....... This has been known since the Russians were in Afghanistan and the West helped drive them out. Haven't you heard Bin Laden couldn't get his men to the Balkans war zone it was done by the CIA with Turkey's help who flew them there.

Why don't you look into your country's elite and what they are doing: Holly Greig, her uncle who was murdered but the facts were not given in the court enquiry, Robert Green imprisoned for investigating and Holly and her Mum fled to England? Try looking into the Dunblane and the paremedic who said it was well known he was part of a police protected paedophile ring. The goverment used a 'D' notice to protect certain Scot's VIPs from deviant and illegal sexual practises.

Lastly it's well known the Taliban stamped out opium crops but the West were not interested and production has vastly increased. It find it sad and ironic that Arnie McCardle was killed asfter accusing the Strathclyde Police of selling drugs. 6 months later one of the officers was arrested on this charge.
LAWFUL REBELLION ..........It's our Constitutional right!

The more experienced leaders have been killed and captured and replaced with lesser experienced, more radical youngsters, no wonder the Taliban is counting down the days to 2014.

Why then is there this need to negotiate with the defeated, weak Taliban?

Because although they are weak, they'll never ever surrender and as long as NATO troops are in Afghanistan that will always spur them on to continue the fight.

I can see the Taliban splitting into smaller factions of lesser radicalised fighters who want a peace deal struck and those who will never agree to any form of peace and will want to roll back into Kabul.

The United States made a hash of Afghanistan when it turned its attention to Iraq, you never leave a job half finished and that's exactly what that moron Dubya did in 2003. The NATO strategy in Afghanistan post 2005 has been little more than a face saving exercise.
