    Default Why INDEPENDENT?

Whether it be ILTEUA or more probably just INDEPENDENT the British people have it in their power to break up the cosy status quo at Westminster by electing more INDEPENDENTS.

I'm well aware the public are releuctant to vote in INDEPENDENTS but that doesn't make it any less the solution to the corruption of Westminster by party politics.

In fact I'd go as far to say that until the LibLabEUkipCon are exposed to the full glare of non party politics through INDEPENDENTS then I see nothing changing in Westminster or in the country.

Vernon Colemen has it right in his book 'Bloodless Revolution'.

Many feel that a House of Commons filled with independents could not appoint a PM, or form a government. I do not share that view.

Like the Roman Senate a H of C full of INDEPENDENTS would have to elect the PM and his or her cabinet and debate and discuss issues and use the H of C as it should be used.

The point you both miss is that we dont elect a PM either at the ballot box or with a vote in either House, HMQ appoints who is best equipped to command the HOC.

Ask not of ourselves, 'How do we do it', but ask of ourselves, 'How should we do it.'

I think there has to be some sort of party structure, more partys and certainly more independents yes but not a Parliament full of them, we would be having elections every five minutes.

Well ultimately it is up to the people to decide at a General Election I would certainly as I say welcome more independents.

Oh to have the gift of prescience, preferably without the need to wear a mitre.
