What a selective atttitude the multiculturalists have. They conveniently disregard the past 1000 years, the 1000 years in which the English evolved as a distinct race with a distinct identity, outlook and customs, and portray us as just-off-the-boat immigrants instead.
For example, Sir Digby Jones, the government's business minister, recently told a conference in Birmingham about immigration: "We are built on immigration. We are a ******* race. This is our country, not mine, and if you are here it's your country, feel you own it."
This rejection of our distinct national identity might be convenient for pro-immigration purposes, but it might not be so convenient for other purposes. For example, if Britain is ever threatened by military invasion, what will the message be then? I imagine it will be something along the lines of `You are defending your heritage! your unique national character!' etc.
Digby, there might be a time when you will need those `English ********', with their inconvenient 1000 years of history, and when you do, they might not be listening.

I find it utterly amazing that what DJ said could be interpreted in any way as supporting multiculturalism.

We ARE a mongrel nation and that is an inescapable fact. Most countries are.

Of course we have a British nationality and a British mindset and British morality as a basis for much that we do, but as with any nation both mindset and morality change with time.

Except in the case of those nations where Islam has clamped its cold grey hand of stultification.

The British culture that remains, and goodness knows there’s not much after fifty years plus of our kids being indoctrinated by the teaching Guardianistra in our schools, is a different one from that of fifty years ago.

All that means is that now it’s 1050 years old rather than 1000 years.

It's called progress.

In the 2001 census, 92.1 per cent of the UK population described themselves as white (though not necessarily British). The remaining 7 per cent (4.6 million) belonged to non-white ethnic minority groups.

That still makes Britain a pre-dominantly white country, though with the constant over-representation of ethnic minorities in the media, you would think they made up one third of the population!

This doesn't surprise me in the least. The first time I set eyes on (Eurofanatic) Digby Jones I saw a nasty self-important looking oaf of a champagne socialist. No doubt the type who pontificates about womens' rights while sticking his hand up the typists' skirts. There's been a batch of those.

And of course he's gung-ho for cheap labour. No surprise there.

Of course all the major European nations contain a mixture of Caucasian bloodlines, in our case Celtic and Germanic. The Germans themselves (despite the lunatic fantasies of the Nazis) have plenty of Slavic input, especially in Prussia.

Only the Scandinavians can claim any sort of 'purity' while the Spanish and Portuguese richly warrant the 'mongrel' insult.

Our bloodline was improved by those who came as strong successful conquerors. The Vikings, the Saxons and finally the Normans made this country the proud, warlike nation it once was. The intermarriage that took place in the years after 1066 determined the look, language and character of the English as they were throughout the years of greatness, and as I am proud to be today.

Flemings, French Calvinists and Jews came and settled in relatively small numbers. They were no problem. Brilliant Jews fleeing pogroms in Russia and Nazi persecutions have added much to our artistic and intellectual life.

What we never asked for was the new invasion, not by proud conquering warlords, but by cringing Third World masses with whom we had nothing in common. Enoch Powell's prophetic words became reality on 7 July 2005 when the blood of 52 victims of Third World immigration ran in the gutters of London.

Those who have encouraged and permitted mass immigration are the worst sort of traitor to this country. If I had my way ever one of them would swing by a short drop from a forest of gallows.

Perhaps you should take a look at the maps of the British Empire and bear in mind that many third world types who you cheerfully denigrate fought and died for the Empire.
As a consequence of Empire many of these people aspired to the British way of life.
All this has been lost by the morons in the PC Islingtonia brigade and the attitudes of the "Little Englanders" (not all of whom are English)

Instead why not take them to a large cliff edge or mountainside and put a bungy rope round their necks of an indeterminate length.Put a tape recorder on them as well and when they are dropped over see if they scream for being splattered on the ground or being jerked to Jesus ?

My hatred of Islam is based on knowledge, I suspect much more than you have about the subject at present.

As for the rest, it is nice out just now though isn’t it!

It’s a lovely morning down here in Norfolk, the crops are well on the way and the first of the Oil Seed is already turning some of the fields golden, with the flowering cherries in peoples gardens, our included, mostly now in full bloom.

What a shame they stay in flower for such a short time but then how wonderful they look against the backdrop of spring bursting out everywhere.
