Exactly.
Well the more people we let in the less milk and honey there is for them.

Of course Enoch was right.
The vast majority of British people know that now.
A portrait of the great man himself hangs above my fire place, draped in a Union flag flanked by two flags of St George.
He was a genius and the greatest Prime Minister we never had.

Just thought I would mention that The Late Enoch Powell, seen by many as 'the father' of the anti-EU movement in the UK, opposed the UK having her own nuclear defence force and he was wrong to do so.

He also said when asked to help start and/or support an anti-EU party in the 1970's "Starting new political parties is not the way to solve the problems we have in our country."

Had Enoch Powell helped form and/or become the figurehead for a new anti-EU party in the 1970's after he quit the Heathite-controlled Conservative Party and when he (Mr. Powell) was at the peak of his popularity in the land the anti-EU movement could well be further ahead than it is now and might already have a large and growing group of MPs in the Commons.

Enoch Powell refused to back a new anti-EU party and did not give his backing or support to UKIP when it was formed in 1993/4 (despite the fact that the europhile fool 'Conservative' Major was desperately trying to destroy the ancient British Pound and take the UK into the euro at the time).

Not only did Mr. Powell refuse to back UKIP - he also failed to join the party and did not even take the step of recommending to electors that they vote for the party at a time when the party could well have done with a publicity boost to make progress soon after being formed.

When people used to write to him after his famous speech he used to urge them to join the Conservative Party. Then he left it himself.

Default General Election, party, broadcast, Enoch Powell, Labour, Heath, Prime Minister

He even went on television about three days before the 1970 General Election to urge people (in a party political broadcast) to vote for the Heathite Conservative Party (led by a man who had sacked him from the Shadow Cabinet two years before).

I should add that there was nothing in the Conservative 1970 General Election Manifesto about joining the EEC/EU and Enoch Powell went on to more-or-less urge people to vote Labour in the February 1974 General Election as a way of removing europhile Heath as Prime Minister (which, of course, the voters thankfully did although it meant pro-EU Wilson got back in instead but not with the huge Parliamentary majority in which Heath had tried to force the UK into accepting EU 'integration' against its will).

Enoch should have joined and stood for the National Front.
If he had I have no doubt it would have got MP's elected and now would be a serious force.

What?

Tyndall’s loonies?

Even Powell’s enemies worst enemies wouldn’t have thought him a Nazi.

He would NEVER have done so, nor would any sensible let alone reputable person.

An National Front MP in Westminster?

It is like suggesting Crowley as archbishop of Canterbury.

He rightly declined the offer and a man of such stature would never have become involved with such filth
