The government is making the right decision by trying to deny a visa to US hip hop performer Snoop Dogg, I say `trying' because apparently a court has overturned the ban, a decision which the government is appealing against.
He is an ikon of the American gang culture, which is destroying so many young lives in Britain and is not part of British life. Yes I know, mass immigration from other continents is not part of British life either, and yes it's true that it's easier to get tough on a single musician than it is to get tough on mass immigration. Even so, let's give the government some credit for this decision. I have to say though that I'm surprised that a court can effectively police our borders like this. |

It’s wrong.
We can’t restrict what people who appreciate what the creep produces does so restricting his entry simply gives him “street cred” way above that which he may enjoy at present not to mention further alienating those who do engage in the drug scene AND be used by those engaged in the terrorist scene to further infiltrate the gangs. Bad move. In fact DUMB move. Let him in and limit his access to the “oxygen of publicity” |

Or you know just let him in and realise that he really doesn't matter.

Sorry but you can't say
"it's right not to let him in becasue "he's an icon"." That's not a good enough reason, (according to the law anyway)...... As for "destroying so many young lives in Britain" I know who I blame, and it isn't Snoop Dog - it's (suprise suprise) the government. Who do you think bring the drugs in in the first place ? If you think the government are trying to block him to "make things better" then how do you explain everything else they're doing that's screwing everything up in this country ? No offence but stop living in cloud cuckoo land and try to get to grips with reality.

How can some one calling them self 'born free' promote government censorship?
The likes of Snoop dog our a product of a society not society is a product of the likes of snoop dog. So what would you like only government censored music where we can all pretend problems don't exist? We could all listen to Norman Wisdom. |
