I agree with your comment above YCHTT - Labour did not "lose" control of the UK borders as some claim: it favours the influx.

Labour are not bothered if professionals leave the UK - they think the majority of them do not vote Labour. All Labour hopes for is that people who quit the UK do not use their vote while they are overseas to vote Conservative.

They are welcome to keep their language alive, form their own social organisations and even support their own country at cricket. But if some aspect of the English way of life, law or culture does not suit then it is down to THEM to be flexible.

The other two main reasons for leaving were out of control crime and high taxes yet shameful public services.

So it's OK for English (and scots) to move abroad,
but its not OK for dark skined eastern people to come to the UK.

Hope I have this correctly.

I may be going to a Muslim country soon on business, will I be able to wear my crucifix around my neck, knowing that there will be a large and well funded national group in that country which will ensure all my rights are observed and that the local muslims don't offend me?

Where the hell did I write that? I was referring to the fact that most of our professionals get taxed to the hilt here, can't afford to get on the property ladder, if they lvie in London have to live in small overpriced accomodation, get f*cked on council tax etc etc etc.
What the hell that has to do with peoples skin colour is beyond me.
Sounds like you've been too near some sort of PC Labour literature that try's to turn every conversation into an argument over race and diversity....

Don't worry Ea - you've simply met this week's holder of the "village idiot" title.

On topic: Given NuLabour's performance, even if there weren't any immigrants whatsoever coming in would there still be an exodus?

I reckon there would be.

Yes because everything costs a fortune here now, and we are taxed into the ground.
The way council tax works is not only unfair it's damn right stupid. The housing market is over inflated, wages are surpressed even amongst the professional classes, University life is very expensive these days, espeically if you are English and getting wacked with the fee's. Any way the government can it seems to fine the public to fund it's projects, whether it be the dodgy use of speed cameras, parking wardens not obeying the rules and giving out tickets willy nilly, or not using any common sense.
All the **** over bin collections and not allowing people to display their national flag etc etc. what a retarded state we live in.

This country is basically a rip off to live in, and you get less for your money so I don't think the immigration factor would make a massive difference. If anything it's only certain areas where it probably has a big effect.
