The figure you give also includes very highly paid foreigners working for their respective financial instutions in the City of London (maily Americans and Japanes).Take these people out of the equation and the average earnings for migrants are much much lower.
It also includes illegal Nigerians cleaning offices at the MOD. Shall we take them out?

Forgot to say,the areas I was in were located south of Warsaw,Krakow,Lodz,Katiwice,Poznan,Wroklaw and Wokslavek and every one of them, without hope or freedom at that time.

Why should my kids and grandkids have to bear the cost of supporting former communists for ever and a day?

Begone,Polska pan.

What surveys ? You said that people commenting to one another on a subject was not admissible as proof. What would a survey be, but comments from one person to others ?

No. They are the types of immigrant we are talking about.

Illegal Nigerians are EU citizens? Blimey, that Lisbon treaty is terrible!

Go away. Find out what 'hearsay' is and why it is inadmisable as evidence. Then look up 'evidence'. Then come back and try again.

There's a famous scene from Blackadder wher Baldrick tries to define a cat. His best effort is "Not a dog". Please try and out-think Baldrick with your replies.

Alcohol is not really a problem in my experience. In a year I've seen a hopeless drunk staggering around in the middle of the day maybe four times. Compared with the scenes on a Saturday night in any major town in the UK it's quite amusing.

I've no idea of the figures but it seems to me that the Poles probably drink as much as the Brits but handle it better and don't binge drink or get violent. I'm not in a big city (pop. 120,000) but I've yet to see any agressive drunks.

I've no idea what it was like 30 years ago but I dare say that living under Bhreznev was enough to turn anyone to drink.

Drink is still cheap, but not that cheap. Vodka around £6 for a decent brand, beer about £12 for a case of 24.
