I think we ought to be fair to this George fellow. He puts his views across and takes some flak. Maybe he went too far with that attack on Brittanist, but he is outnumbered.
Anyway he has skip answering all the questions, which shows those of us that are taking issue with him that we are winning this topic.

I do not know what "George" thinks I did not tell the truth about. I am honest.

I deliberately did not respond the first time he called me liar, so he just persisted in repeating the insult - 'digging himself further into a hole'.

"Liar", "lying" and "lie" are, of course, not allowed here, but "you are not telling the truth" or "you are misleading us deliberately" are.

As well as repeatedly calling me a liar, "George" also wrongly put what he called a quote of my words into the signature section of his postings. I asked him for the source of the quote and he put a link in under it. This allowed me to check what he claimed were my words and I found that he was quoting only half my words out of context. In other words, he deliberately cut words out to make it look as if I was saying something else. Eurosceptic Atlanticist also spotted this.

I do not think that quoting others on the forum in the signature section of postings to the forum should be allowed without the permission of the person being quoted (apart from anything else if permission is needed it would allow the person whose permission was requested to ensure that the quote was reproduced in a signature section of another poster accurately and without distortion).
