Default "EU wants to replace word 'immigration' with another term"

The EU wants to replace the word "immigration" with the word mobility it has emerged. The change would keep with the EU's habit of using different words if it suits them - the Common Market became the 'the Union'. And the EU 'Treaty' is the new name the EU has given to its deeply unpopular EU Constitution.

There's more on this at:

There you have it, a la Peter Cook's remedy for unemployment, change the name and the problem goes away, mind you if every "immigrant" was shot...

You wouldn't have a doctor when you next needed one?

Thousands of young British doctors face the prospect of unemployment or emigration next year because of a huge shortage of training posts in hospitals and GP surgeries, the leader of Britain's doctors will warn this week.

James Johnson, president of the British Medical Association, said patients will find it hard to understand why doctors educated with millions of pounds of taxpayers' money will not be able to find jobs in the NHS when there is such a need for specialist patient care.

I don't think I need to add a comment.

Better to train our own than 'import' doctors. I, for one, find it extremely difficult to understand foreign doctors because of their strong dialects.

I totally agree! Several years ago my Son looked like he needed a minor operation but my wife and I needed professional advice on whether or not he did! The Doctor we saw was foreign, his English was so poor that we could not understand him and he could not understand us, so we had to ask to see another Doctor! As my then GP said," It's a pretty poor show when you can't see a Doctor who speaks your Language in you're own Country"!

As Brown seems to be winding up for an Election it is noticeable that immigration does not appear on his agenda even though the comments made are directly related to his pet subjects health, education housing etc.

Very worrying.
