Angry Shari'a Law, British Governments reponse to petition

Shari'a law is not part of the law of the United Kingdom. The Government does not intend to change this position in relation to the whole or part of the United Kingdom. However, provided an activity prescribed by Shari'a law does not contravene the law of the United Kingdom, there is nothing that prevents people living by Shari'a law such as in choosing to wear traditional dress, pursue particular forms of worship or follow" dietary rules."

Dietary rules= Halal Slaughter! The whole reason that the RSPCA will not lift a finger!

Easy to conquer that one then. Start the anti-Halal movement, point out that it causes terrible suffering to the animal, and the bambi brigade will quite happily ban it.

Start with the RSPCA to get your facts right, and then approach DEFRA to add to your knowledge, then move on from there. I would expect you would get the most trouble from the Jewish community because of their high positions in both business and politics. 50% of Religious slaughter is for Kosher meat! Also beware the violent "Bunny Huggers", some animal rights activists have in the past been very violent!

Use the link below for the RSPCA view on religious slaughter - Shame that they do not feel they can speak out, as they have been tongue-tied by the PC culture.
