I was changing it to one that did work while you were posting the above.

They obviously changed the link to a new address just as I put the one they had just abandoned in my posting.

You can also read the report (on the link in the first posting to my thread) on page 306 of ITV 1 Teletext (viewable on most televisions) by the way (at least until they move that too).

There is still a backlog of an estimated 450,000 failed asylum seekers continuing to live in Britain.
They need to be removed immediately.

Nah! Nobody'll look for 'em. Liebour would rather give 'em all an amnesty and citizenship, then they (liebour) will have even more ethnic minorities to vote for them.
Besides, why would Gordy spend good money chucking potential Liebour voters out. Much cheaper to amnesty 'em.

Default Brown's Lie-bour Party, England, Wales, Soctland, amnesty, polling booths

The mass influx we see in our country is supported (in private) by a large section of Brown's Lie-bour Party. Nearly all illegal immigrants are in England (not Wales or Scotland) which is exactly the way Lie-bour wants it - preferably in key marginal seats.

We managed to stop the enemy getting into this country in World War II - no one would have got across the Channel easily to illegally enter our land then. Yet now, this shower in power claim admit there are hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants here and that they did all they could to stop them coming in. What nonsense. The real figure is probably well over a million and Lie-bour barely moved a muscle to stop the inflow .

For all their talk, Lie-bour is not going to remove most of them. If half a million of them get an amnesty Lie-bour expects that they will gratefully return the favour in the polling booths (as ZZ says in the last posting to this thread) .

The long posting I just made seems to have been obliterated by this forum's wonderful new software. I can't be bothered to retype it all, but here is a link to a newspaper report on the asylum numbers.

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/homea...153255,00.html

Quote:
Number seeking asylum hits 14-year low

Fred Attewill and agencies
Tuesday August 21, 2007
Guardian Unlimited

The government today welcomed figures showing asylum applications had dropped to the lowest level for 14 years.
The number of people applying for asylum in the UK last year fell by over 2,000 to 23,610, the lowest since 1993. The main nationalities were Eritrean, Afghan, Iranian, Somalian and Chinese.
snip, but do read the whole thing - lots of interesting info all the way down.

Now geography never was my strong point, but do we actually share borders with Eritrea, Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia and China?

I always thought a refugee/asylum seeker was someone who crossed the first safe border.

Maybe my atlas is out of date?
