WilWonder,

I see two ways of looking at nationality-the British way and the German way.

The German way is based on blood, and people living in various parts of eastern Europe are more German than someone who actually has lived in Germany all his life but some of his ancestors were of Turkish or other nation.

The British way allows new blood in and can also start new nations-ie; Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

My family name goes back to 11th century Lothian, before William the Conqueror even invaded, therefore I am more right than you...

Since when did family history have anything to do with whether one is British/English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish or not? I do not rest on the laurels of my family - I was born as my own person, and just like any other person, I should make my way through my own merit.

USA - Ditto Native American Indians
New Zealand - same O same O for the Maoris

You have to wonder though why there is not much more opposition to ritual slaughter. Is it not another policy UKIP could bring forward. Or would it just be countered by the usual racism card.
I find it astounding that Animal rights activists are not more involved.
