Default Immigration numbers underestimate influx say council bosses

‘Councils attack migration figures’

The number of migrants entering the UK has been underestimated, say local authority leaders who fear it will mean public services will be hit.

In a letter to the Treasury seen by the BBC, four leaders say a new method to calculate migrant numbers is flawed and shows “perverse results.”

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures determine funding for councils.

The BBC’s Claire Marshall says the ONS acknowledge its methods for gathering the information are weak.

Britannist adds: This is the second time in the last few months in which the Office of National Statistics has been forced to admit that its figures may not be accurate.

How convenient for Nu-Improved-Labour the BBC releases this information after May 3rd.
Any journalist worthy of the name would have sniffed this out weeks ago,given the unreliability of Government figures.

Default Editors, immigration

Perhaps some editors won't publish such reports.

Two points from this;

1 Due to the influx of migrants more council tax needs to be spent.

2 Due to the influx of migrants a lot of council taxpayers are having their wages reduced.
