There are now ten London Boroughs where over a third of the population were born abroad says a new report from the London School of Economics:
(Number of foreign born given in percentages) Brent 46.6 % Kensington and Chelsea 44.6 % Westminster 44.5 % Newham 38.2 % Ealing 37.3 % Haringey 37.1 % Camden 36.8 % Tower Hamlets 34.7 % Hackney 34.5 % Hammersmith and Fulham 33.6 % * All the London Boroughs above are classified as ‘inner’ London except for Brent (Wembley/Harlesden) and Haringey (Wood Green/Hornsey/Tottenham) The full report can be found at:  http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/pre...lityReport.htm * After clicking on the above link please scroll down the page and click on the link provided to download the report. The link can be found just above the date (13.2.2007). It is a long report - particular attention should be given to pages 11 -13. |
