'My fake passports and me'

BBC 1 Television just said that Panorama on Monday 4.12.2006 from 9 pm to 10 pm will be about how fake passports are being used by people to enter the UK.

The programme announcer said "Not surprisingly - since these passports allow the user to access the UK Benefits system after just 12 months - demand for them is high."

'My Fake Passports and Me' follows Shadia Tulaganova, wh is from Uzbekistan (the former Soviet state which is not part of the EU - yet) to find out "just how easy it is to get a fake passport which gives the holder free access to the UK."

The aim of Miss Tulaganova (in the Panorama documentary) is to collect a passport from each of the EU states and to try to enter the UK :shock: :evil: .

* Nigel Farage, the leader of UKIP, said last week (on the BBC News 24 programme 'The Record - Europe') that 10% of eastern europeans in the UK are claiming benefits from the British state.

The show might well be used to support the introduction of ID cards in the UK.

There will be fake ID cards produced and probably more importantly fake entries in the ID computer database. These entries will be from corrupted and pure criminal elements employed to establish and maintain the database. Also the database and/or the cards will most certainly be hacked by organised criminals.

This will all be done by the sort of criminals that Ms Tulaganova has been associating with in order to get all her 25 passports. Reasoned technological advances should be used to stop fake passports being created and should be being used now. And if our EU partners & others are unable to commit to simple security measures then we need to reintroduce visas for those nations. I don't enjoy making that comment at all.

It seems to me that the Vacuous Airhead and his croney ministers are either in denial on some things or cooking up endless initiatives on others. Either way he should GO!

I saw this programme! Makes me want to weep. John Reid goes on about security but he seems to make no attempt to get at the criminal gangs. If a young woman on a mission to get 25 forged/stolen passports from the flotsam of Europe can succeed TWICE in getting through how many other "Polish" and "Latvian" people are there here.

Why doesn't Reid send out a squad to do the very same thing and get real evidence on the criminals?

Poland and Lativia are in the EU anyway, so they have unrestricted movement rights to the UK anyway.

Thing is, now the worlds illegals can get into Britain no problemo, as we have no border controls with all these other countries.

Treasure Island has never been to open to abuse.
