Have you tried driving in this country? Buying a house? going to hospital? The roads are choked, houses are unaffordable and queues in hospitals stretch to months, sometimes years. The last thing we need is more people cramming themeselves on an already overcrowded island. Our cities are sprawling, our air is polluted and our social cohesion is crumbling under the tyranny of multi culteralism. lets regain control of our borders and make decisions for the greater good of britons.

As an immigrant myself, I think that there has to be a limit to how many people come to the UK. House prices are ridiculous. Schools aren't coping. The health service isn't coping. This is a very small island and we can't keep bringing people in. What's the point in allowing people to settle here if they can't support themselves? Let in the people who have skills that are in short supply. Demand that they speak (learn) English. The UK isn't a charity and has to demand something in return.

The BNP are the only political party promoting a realistic policy on immigration. The door must be closed for a while, and many must be removed. We are a small country, and not a charity. It's the only way.

There should be a complete stop on all immigration with a review.

To say economic migrants are good for the economy is not always true. If the majority are low paid, they will claim for family credit, even for children back in their home countries. These will be a net drain on UK plc.

We should allow only skilled migrants whose earning power means they will be net contributors to UK plc.

As a taxpayer for the last 42 years I resent to paying for non UK people who come here.

Give us, the British public, a referendum on immigration, then you'll truely see how we really feel about the shabolic mess Labour have made of our country.

Immigrants come over to our country, get paid an extortionate amount of benefits (a lot more than people who were born in our country), receive free medical care, free training courses and get free housing. The government should support people that were born in our country FIRST.

I think we should adapt a system like Australia – only people who will support the country can live here and they cannot receive state benefits. I want my taxes to go on my country, not free loaders.

I trust the Conservatives on immigration; I feel we need tighter controls. At the moment the economy is buoyant and can take all these immigrants but what happens when there is a downturn, they will all want welfare benefits. Also what about the indigenous population who don’t work but claim welfare benefits from the taxpayer, shouldn’t these be expected to do the lower skilled jobs rather than watching day time telly at our expense?

Personaly I think the population of this country is way to high as it is.

We need to set a limit on the poupulation of the UK. once this linit is reached then NO MORE IMMIGRATION.

If the population falls then we alow immigration of those with essential skills to fill the gaps.

England is the fourth most densely populated country in the world, after Bangladesh, South Korea and The Netherlands. Any party who recognises this gets my vote.

If we need skilled labourers, we should train them. If nobody here will do certain jobs, then we should pay them.

Our population is already gloriously diverse: time for us to let others catch up.

Let's preserve what we have and place quality of life before quantity of population.

The idea that immigration is good for the economy is false. Great in the short term if they pay their taxes etc, but then you get a real pressure on the state when people with incomplete N.I. contribution records require handouts as they live out their extended life.

Typical GB theory though. Balance the books however you can and to hell with the long term consequences.

Australia has been running a points system for many years and they ask people to migrate there for specific skills shortages. There is nothing wrong with finding out what contribution migrants will be able to make to a country's welfare. We have pretty much had an open door policy for many years and now worryingly it appears we don't know how many people live here! The social impact if we let that continue could be huge so I applaud anyone who wants to reign it in now. The UK must act now.

Labour gave us uncontrolled borders, mass immigration, a way by which the minimum wage can be circumvented by companies able to hire cheap foreign labour, a Home Office not fit for purpose, and they have let immigration get mixed up with asylum in the mind of the public.

I am not sure what the answer is but getting control of our borders, counting the number here and seeing what they do would be a good start. Labour have shown that they cannot/will not do this.

I heard all this before the GE. So what's going on?

No mention of UKIP or anyone else apart from the BNP. Sad fact is that immigration and identity - both closely tied to feelings and resentment towards the EU - are THE issue of the next 20-30 years or more. The issue of immigration has been like a lead weight around the neck of the country now for the last 40-50 years ever since the Labour(iasly useless) party introduced the 1948 British Nationality Act granting residency and nationality to a quarter of the worlds' population.

This is not going to go away, and even if it does, it will return and keep returning until extreme action is perceived to be the only solution.

Multi culturalism will end in tears and dictatorship, and we are wel on the way to that.

Britain owed that to the Commonwealth Countries for the sacrifices they made for Britain in two World Wars. Unfortunately British politicians forgot the fact that Britain is a small Island Country when they proceeded in letting the "World and his Wife" migrate to our shores. Unfortunately through lack of foresight from Britain's politicians in the past and the present, it will I fear end in tears!

Racists the lot of you.

Don't you know the benefits that immigration has brought me, er I mean us.

I have a fabulous Eastern European nanny whom I can pay half what I used to do.

My property portfolio has been enhanced considerably by the cheap tradesmen I can employ. (So what if they're not qualified, they know their place and are not stroppy like the natives whom demand about £100 more for the whole job).

Oh yeah, they live in my rental properties aswell.

My share portfolio has increased nicely, the low wages that the Sainsbury's and Tesco pay, means that profits are up. Prices? Well they might not have down but I'm still quids in.

I'm alright Jack - pull up the ladder.
