Default £1,000 fines for 'illegally working' new immigrants

http://www.24dash.com/centralgovernment/12105.htm

Quote:
Romanians and Bulgarians caught working illegally in Britain after their countries join the European Union will face a £1,000 on-the-spot fine, it was revealed today.

The Home Office's threat of tough penalties was part of a package designed to reassure the public that a vast new wave of immigration will not be triggered by January 1's EU expansion.
Oh yes, I can imagine these guys will be carrying wedges of cash around with them. So I take it that means they get to stay anyway then.

It's a disgrace that we have shuch a shambles of an immigraiton system, that disciminates against some parts of the world. We should have the same rules for ALL migrants, from wherever they come from on the planet.

Near enough everyone (but the BNP scum) agrees, that an Australian points and quota based system would be sensible and fair. Why are we allowing these idiots to fob us off with this hair brained crapola?

Yes I wondered how they would pay off a £1.000 fine if they were penniless. what I think will happen is the Government will tell them they can continue to work BUT, they must promise to pay off their fine at no less than £1 per week!

I too love the idea of secure borders.
a visa system where folk have to apply even to visit wouId be essential, otherwise "tourists" quickly get lost within our country.

say in ten years when ukip I hope are in number ten the very real problems of over population of the British Isles will still be present.
50 years of failed policy on this issue will mean huge difficulties remain.
I imagine we cannot do a bnp and repatriate millions but what we can do is set out our stall -

we are a Christian country and a member of the free world -there are terms and conditions of being here, so we list them and enforce with passion and resolve.

Isn't going to happen. This government has no teeth when it comes to immigration enforcement. Its just more populism, like the "march yobs to cash machines for on the sot fines" idea.
