People want to leave Moldova

The Express reports that economic crisis in Moldova is driving hundreds of thousands of migrants into Europe and Britain. The country is officially Europe’s poorest country, with 80% of the population living on less than £1 per day. According to a UN report, nine out of ten young Moldovans plan to leave the country, and an estimated 800,000 citizens – 20% of the population – are already living abroad.

Perhaps we could go over and replace the ones that have left and call it New Britain.

We could/should farm out our longterm prisoners to them if its as cheap as that.

They are poor,but not as poor as really £1 a day.That is always used by the likes of the BBC,but doesnt show reality.
It`s the rate of exchange that makes it £1 a day.
I mean,could anybody really live on £1 a day in the UK?Take that £ to a very different country and convert it into their currency,and live with their expenses and benefits and you can,just.
What do they pay for electricity,is gas pumped directly to them,is bread delivered free to where they work,do they have communal water heaters that then send it up the pipes at certian times?

I think many of these states have the problem of ;

who is there now left to drive their buses, tend their patients and serve in their bars - so many are over here.

how can it be right if they can find no mid-wife or any one to bake bread or plough the fields.

The Telegraph reported a couple of weeks ago that Moldovans and other people from non-EU nations in that region are allegedly buying £500 Bulgarian passports as a way of trying to get into the UK via Bulgaria (when the nation enters the EU in 2007).
