Default Migrant flood changing UK

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006400396,00.html

Quote:
NEW immigrants are dramatically changing the face of Britain, race chief Trevor Phillips warned yesterday.

He said the wave of mainly young, single overseas workers now moving to the UK was transforming communities.

Rather than settling in big cities they were flocking to small towns and setting up their own places of worship, shops and media outlets.

Mr Phillips, the head of the Commission for Racial Equality, added: “There’s nothing wrong with these preferences. But it does present the possibility that the areas in which we share experiences as a whole nation are shrinking daily.”
Quote:
He added that the social transformation was sharpened by large numbers of Brits quitting the UK. Mr Phillips warned Britain was verging on “unacceptably high” ethnic polarisation — which he blamed on the education system.

He said: “Separateness tends to encourage inequality of treatment.

“And living separately means that different groups have their experiences defined by their ethnicity rather than their ambitions.

“The more we allow groups of people who live and work here to feel they do not belong to this society, the higher the risk of their taking hostile action against it.”

In the past two years, one million migrants have registered for work in Britain. Some 600,000 have come from eastern European countries who joined the EU in 2004. About 10,000 eastern Europeans live in Slough, Southampton has 15,000 recent immigrants and Peterborough an estimated 16,000.

A further 300,000 Romanians and Bulgarians are expected in Britain when their countries become EU members in January.
Hostile actions. Rivers of Blood. Fighting in the streets.

Is he a racist?

And the piece ends

CABINET ministers are planning to introduce a work permit system to limit the number of Bulgarians and Romanians who come here, it was reported last night. Critics of such schemes say all EU citizens are entitled to come anyway — and will simply find work in the black market.
When The Sun covers issues, it covers them very clearly.

Default Sun's eurosceptic approach remains very influential

The Sun (the biggest selling morning daily tabloid in the English-speaking world) is a eurosceptic newspaper (thank goodness). While it currently (officially) backs Labour, it has done so whilst quite clearly stating that this does not extend to the pro-EU Blairite policy of supporting EU 'integration'. The Sun is almost certainly partly responsible for Labour not going into the euro in 2003 (when Blair-Brown held a joint conference saying euro entry was "postponed"). Had Labour decided to push ahead with abolition of our ancient and much-loved Pound, the Sun would have launched a campaign which would have helped stop Labour and almost certainly bring down the discredited liar and opportunist Blair.

When I hear leftists and europhiles complaining about the Sun I know that the newspaper is doing a good job on the EU issue (although I would, of course, like it to go further and promote the case for the UK's inevitable departure from the EU-Superstate now under construction).

Ken Livingstone has now accused Trevor Phillips of "pandering to the right" so much that "soon he'll be joining the BNP".

That's probably quite offensive to Phillips.

Not unlike telling a Jew he should be a Nazi guard.

The rabid little weasle doesn't learn does he.

Couldn't put it better myself MKP. At least your town of Woking doesn't come under Livingstone's control (yet  ). Apart from all his other disgusting political views, Livingstone is a fanatical europhile in the same 'class' as Mandelson  .

By the way, your town of Woking was named as one of the places where some of the 500, 000 microchip spies" have been fitted to 'wheelie-bins" (to monitor how much waste is thrown away by each house to allegedly prepare for possible surcharging). Have you checked your bin? The penny-sized microchip device (read by a machine on the rubbish collection van) are inserted under the 'lip' at the top of the main part of the bin (according to this week's Mail on Sunday).

Bin checked.

Chips were there.

But the binmen have been since and must have have not treated the bins with the care they deserve, as they are not there anymore.

Default Spying on local residents

It's an invasion of privacy. I wonder if the councillors at Woking (and the other local authorities affected) voted this (microchip in wheelie bins) through - and if so, why. I'm also trying to find out if surcharging (i.e. for the collection of rubbish over a certain weight) on top of the council tax is actually legal.
