Default Immigrants have lowered my Wages!

I started a new Job recently after being made redundant after 9 years at my previous job, I am now earning £2.00 an Hour less than before and the place is full of Immigrants, it seems that most similar Jobs are now paying similar lower Wages than previously

to put it simply, it seems to me that these new Immigrants have lowered my Wage by £2.00 an Hour and my New income doesn't quite cover my outgoings because of it

not happy

I can believe this.

Newsnight had a feature about immigration tonight which was pathetic in skirting round these real issues for the British people. The appalling Digby Jones was on about how immigration is helping to keep the economy "benign" - yes for him and his mates.

I wish we could just get the facts straight.

The 'benefit' to our economy that politicians harp on about is simply related to the increased size of the labour force.

This simply increases overall GDP but not GDP per capita, which is what matters for increasing prosperity.

It is possible that the benefits of a larger labour force, skills, harder working people that are more productive etc can have positive knock-on effects. However, they also have negative effects: increased traffic, burden the NHS, burden Education, Housing, Water, Electricity, Waste & Rubbish etc.

I suspect a full cost benfit analysis will show we are worse off with each immigrant, unless they are skilled immigrants (generally from USA, Australia etc) who do genuinely add value.

Please somebody just give us the true figures!

They cannot pay their way.
Even if they paid all the taxes, never used any of our welfare, health and education services, never commit a crime, spend all their money here and go back before retiring they cannot pay their way.
If the nation is going to increase its population by such an amount in such a short time,it needs to increase its infrastructure in a short time. That costs money which the nation has to pay for immediately. They will never repay that cost.

Migration Watch UK (although I appreciate are coming at this from a certain angle) have a report on their website. The conclusion is that the economic effect is at best nuetral and in fact probably negative.
