That was the programme i spoke of in another similar thread. Digby concluded we are failing to educate our young and that is the reason Poles are taking up all these jobs. Just what sort of education do you need to haul fish about ?

We are giving our people the impression that we can all do high tech, high paid jobs. To re-inforce this the welfare system is making the differance between taking a low paid job and not working shrink.

To think we can go on like this is madness. An economy would normally adjust in the long term to encourage people to return to work. The huge importation of cheap labour will only delay the inevitable. And my personal oppinion is that we are heading for financial and social meltdown.
