Default Immigration controls "inadequate" say MP's

From BBC 1 Television Ceefax page 109 (analogue) 23.7.2006 at 3.52 am:

Immigration controls ‘inadequate’:

The UK’s immigration enforcement measures are “clearly inadequate” and need overhauling to take into account a completely changed landscape, says MP’s.

A parliamentary report calls for employers of illegal immigrants to be targeted in an effort to build public confidence in the system.

The Home Affairs select committee said officials needed to place a “new emphasis” on enforcement controls.

The Home Office said it welcomed the report and shared some of its analysis.

From BBC 1 Television Ceefax page 108 (analogue) 23.7.06 at 1.56 pm:

Reid plans border-control force:

A uniformed border-control force is to be introduced at ports and airports for the first time in the UK, Home Secretary John Reid has said.

The budget for immigration enforcement will also double to £280 million by the end of 2010, Home Office sources told the BBC.

A Refugee Council spokesman said the money would be better spent on training asylum case workers than border police.

Details of the plans emerged as a report by MP’s condemned current enforcement measures as “inadequate”.

Default Churlish criticism, as much has been achieved.

Churlish criticism, as much has been achieved.

Immigration controls ‘inadequate’:
Presumably the BBC means, Her Majesty's Government is failing in its duty, to: drive law and abideing and decent people particularly Anglo-Saxons in to emigrating from the United Kingdom; discourage hard-working and decent foreigners from working and/or settling in the United Kingdom; and failing to attract sufficent numbers of Islamofascists and Islamofascist Arab racial supremacists who wish to exterminate everybody in the United Kingdom who is not a Muslim, in to immigrating in to the United Kingdom. Well if that is the criticism that the BBC is makeing of the British Government, I think it is somewhat unfair, as in the present Government's nearly ten year term of office they have achieved a good deal and for a start I can point to the 7/7 2005 bombings on London as a practical aspect of the succcess of British Government policy. That said, it would be unreasonable to give the present Labour administration all the credit, in that the previous Conservative Government was highly posatively pro-active in such issues, e.g. to just take one valuable policy iniative, we have the John Major Conservative Government haveing nominated the Muslim Council of Britain, who many would argue has the creation of a Sharia Islamic State on the present territory of the United Kingdom as a policy agenda, as the only voice that the British Government would listen to in respect of British Muslims along with an apartheit policy on the part of the British Government of denying funding to those Muslim organizations that would refuse to align themselves with the MCB.

Best and Warm Regards
