Asylum claims down 21%, figures show

http://www.guardian.co.uk/immigratio...html?gusrc=rss

Quote:
New asylum figures out today show a steady decrease in the number of applications to come to the UK.
Official statistics released by the Home Office reveal a 21% drop for the period April to June this year from the same period in 2004, and an 11% decrease compared with the first three months of this year.

Welcoming the figures, the immigration minister Tony McNulty said: "The figures published today show we are continuing to cut the number of asylum applications, now down by more than three-quarters, an enormous 76% since their peak in October 2002.
Cutting Asylum figures while excepting unlimited EU economic immigriation. Makes you proud to be British don't it. Not.

Quote:
The Conservative immigration spokesman, Humfrey Malins, echoed: "This makes a mockery of the government's target to deport more failed asylum seekers than arrive. The number of failed asylum seekers who remain in the country continues to increase - what are the government going to do about it?

"At this rate it would take nearly 20 years just to deal with those already here - let alone deal with future arrivals.

He added: "The UK still has the second highest number of asylum applications in Europe."
Mr Malins, the guy who smashed me to bit's in Woking has made a good statement here. Illegal Asylum seekers is the issue and the government have done NOTHING to address it.

Quote:
EU accession state workers

Seperate figures published simulataneously by the Home Office relating to workers arriving from the EU accession countries showed that 55,000 people applied to the UK in the period April-June 2005 under the Worker Registration Scheme - the scheme which governs applicant workers from the eight mainly eastern European countries who joined the EU in May last year.
And that's just the accession countries. Mass immigration is alive and well.

Quote:
The figures show a crackdown on applications from people in Romania and Bulgaria seeking to set up business in the UK under the European Community Association Agreement scheme.

The immigration minister Beverley Hughes was forced to resign last April after she claimed not to know of allegations that applications based on forged documents were being rubber-stamped for approval.

The government promised a review of the scheme and figures today showed that of 4,985 applications considered in both Sofia and Bucharest between August 2004 and June 2005, 72% were refused, 14% were granted and 14% withdrawn
Romania and Bulgaria aren't even in the EU yet!!!! When they do join, I think this gives us an idea of how many people will be pouring over then!

More housing problems. More water shortages. More polution. Lower wages. More congestion. Mafia taking advantage. More unemployment and a country that is nothing like the Britain we know.

Britain is finished.

I'm not sure if the removal of my banning block is deliberate or a mistake and I was unsure about whether to bother posting after my spat with Matt over what he stated some time ago. My apologies to Matt anyhow for insulting him.

I'm no longer in the BNP as Matt is no longer in UKIP and was surprised to read his 'Britain is finished' post, as his concerns are my own too.

I've decided to start afresh and get back to basics rather than joining another Party. I'm going over my favorite philosopher's writings, Ken Wilber, who has an integrationist approach to truth and reality and am trying to apply these principles to the problems we have in this country, inc mass immigration and the threat of further terror.

I've joined the ProgCon discussion forum and had a very satisfactory answer to my question about the EU with relation to Mother Nation values.

I hope I'll be allowed to stay here, but if not I accept your decision.

Best wishes
Christina

I removed the block the other day by mistake, though about reinstating it and thought I would leave it undone.

Apology accepted and happy to see one less person in the BNP's ranks.

Thanks Matt, Percent, C-Steam and Alex. Good to be back. In reply to Percent, no I will not be starting a thread about why I am no longer in the BNP. I'll do it here, very briefly. I didn't leave, my membership was terminated within a week of meeting my local candidate (who said my being TS wasn't a problem) Sharon Ebanks, the BNP Forum leader banned me without explanation. I found out from someone else that she said in a PM that I'd been banned for being a man posing as a woman.

I phoned the enquiry line and the woman at the other end was understanding and agreed with me that I'd been unfairly treated. She told me she needed to talk with someone else and they'd get back to me.

I got my termination letter. No explanation.

So, the BNP say they are not against sexual minorities as people, just against the propaganda. I agree with that. I found out they were not telling the truth, though their are members of the BNP who are telling the truth about that, and I've had some online encouragement from some here and elsewhere.

It should be noted that although transsexualism is classed as a medical condition, and is treated all over the world, there are others as well as the BNP who deny this, inc the Evangelical Alliance, some of the Tory Taliban etc. It isn't unique to the BNP.

This all happened several weeks ago, and since then there have been elections after the London bombings and attempts. The BNP did not do well.

I do believe the BNP serve a useful purpose in this country, at least as a Party unafraid to tell people what other Parties won't because of fear of PCness and a backlash against ethnic minorities. This is particularly true with regard to comparisons with reporting of racial hatred attacks against ethnic minority people (Headline News) and attacks against white people indigenous to these islands. (local, somewhere in the middle pages, if at all)

I believe the people of Britain want the truth, and that political correctness skews things and people are getting fed up with it. More and more people are checking the BNP site knowing they will report.

The problems of immigration, asylum and integration and segregation can only be solved by people who work from the whole truth, not partial biased half-truths.

I do believe Enoch Powell was right, but my belief is more nuanced. The Rivers of Blood speech was not a prophecy that is certain to be fulfilled. It is a likelihood if politicians and the public do not face up to the whole truth and seek to find meaningful solutions that are fair to all, not just minorities.

I was sickened at the way most of the Media portrayed Muslims as the victims of the London bombings. Thankfully, this is being balanced by hard hitting programmes such as Panorama which showed that so-called moderates aren't moderate in a liberal sense of the word.

I find it highly ironic that the so-called Islamaphobes are blasted in this country, while Tony Blair dictates to Muslims what true Islam is!!!! Surely, by his actions and talk he is an imperialist.

Christina

Sorry to hear about the way you were 'terminated'. Perhaps evidence that the BNP still has the 'supremist' streak in them somewhere - which is a shame, people should be free to be members of the political party they choose, the parties need to accept members on their beliefs rather than any other factor.
