Default The ancient use of beacons was to warn people about invasions

This ancient use is to be revived for the Queens Jubilee during 2012.

At the start of the Jubliee celebrations beacons will again be lit all over Britain, to warn people that Britain is again being invaded by immigrants.

The average number of settlers is 575,000 a year. This level of settlement has continued since 2004 when the ten new countries joined the European Union.

This is more than one a minute day and night, for the last 7 years.

Now even the government don't warn us about invasions. They encourage them.

Indeed. From Windrush on, the immense benefits that could have come from easy access to the different cultures that only the priviledged few had enjoyed before, have been squandered by the typical British (mostly English) underclass's lack of education, pessimism and reactionary protectionism.

    Opportunity Lost!

Result: divisions throughout society culminating in the desire of large numbers of people in the three bordering members of the UK wanting to split away.

There won't be beacons. But symbolic funeral pyres for a dead and shrinking majority culture that failed to evolve...

Indeed. From Windrush on, the immensely different cultures that could have come for easy access to the different benefits that only the British had been entitled to before, have been squandered by the typical invaders (mostly Non-White) underclass's lack intelligence, but with plenty of, pessimism and outright protectionism and lack of integration.

    Country Lost!

Result: divisions throughout society culminating in the desire of large numbers of people in the three bordering members of the UK wanting to split away.

Sorry Patman Post there will be beacons.

If you google "beacons for the jubilee" you will find a lot more about it.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Beacons: A network of 2,012 Beacons will be lit by communities and individuals throughout the United Kingdom, as well as the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Commonwealth. As in 2002, The Queen will light the National Beacon. The beacons project is being organised by Diamond Jubilee Beacons Ltd.

The only reason our culture hasn't evolved is because we are drowning in the tsunami of millions from other cultures to which the government and law give priority. If our lords and masters defended our culture with the same rigour and vigour that they defend the culture of those with no right to be here it would be always be the dominant one.

Immigration brings immense cultural benefits to thisw country, look no further than grey squirrels, Ammerican mink, muntjac, Sika deer, Ammerican crayfish, Turkish oaks, sycamore trees, Japanese knotweed, Himalayan Balsalm, Dutch elm disease etc, etc,

Some ebola, or nile fever would be really nice, it will enrich the biological and cultural diversity of this country and its own cultural characteristics will be incorporated into the collective hive of dung.

What is the Green Party's view on the additional carbon released into the atmosphere by 2,012 beacons? Even if the beacons are all gas, it is still equivalent to a similar number of cremations. Is it proposed to up this year's quota of Green Burials by the same amount?

But anyway, although some may view them as beacons, there are reasons to view them as pyres...

Love the name of the Boss man: Bruno Peek OBE, MVO, OPR – Pageantmaster, The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons – a funky name for the lead deejay...

The real reason is the inbuilt attitude to change which has effectively turned "whole swathes" (love that expression so I've nicked it from another poster) of this country into a cultural Galapagos with mindsets unable to recognise and take advantage of progress and enlightenment.
