In what sense hasn't your culture evolved?
If anything Western culture has never been more dominant around the globe. The tribes of darkest Borneo might have a different culture but the reason people come here is to experience the same one; capitalist consumerism and western liberalism.

Could you tell me exactly what "progress and enlightment " people from Africa,India and the Middle East have brought us in the last 60 years? What great inventions, great discoveries, advances in medical science they have brought to our shores? What advances they have brought for the benefit of mankind? What wondrous miracles we can gaze at in awe and say "But for immigration we wouldn't have that and we'd be the poorer for it." ?
Please don't include kebabs and Indian takeaways.
This is England and .....
They have brought kebabs and Pakistani run Indian takeaways, spitting on the street, antibiotic resistant TB and new religions, what more do you want Francis.
You forgot to mention suicide bombers, numerous terrorist plots, public demonstrations demanding beheading, calls to stone adulterers and hang homosexuals and demands we rename our religious festivals and celebrate theirs instead.
Just a few of the things we have gained from immigration. Along with the torture and murder of children for being witches, smuggling jungle meat and various other unsavoury habits of the African waves of the endless flood.

Do you believe that people from the regions you highlight have not been involved in the "great discoveries" and "advances in medical science"? I'm not a scientist, but Alan Goff, Maggie Aderin-Pocock and Magdi Habib Yacoub spring to mind. As for benefiting the overall scene in the arts, media and sport – you can make your own list.
In return, what notable beneficial developments has Britain brought to the world and capitalised on in the last 60 years that definitely haven't involved people from Africa, India and the Middle East?
