It's nowhere near as clear cut as you're making out either. From experiance I'd say most of our support comes from the upper working/lower middle class types, usually tradesmen. That's certainly the case where I am anyway, proberbly different in Northern towns with poor white areas plonked next to Muslim ghettoes and the problems associated with this.

I'd say we get the most hostility from poor areas aswell, hearing drum and bass blaring from somebodys front room on a council estate house is usally a bad sign for example
