Whoah! He doesn't look crazy. Are you sure he's a libertarian?

Good luck to him!

I wish him luck but I do hope he doesn't damage UKIP too much.

It's the first time out for a new candidate; he will be lucky to get 0.5%. For the first year or two, it surely is really just about getting the name known?

I think this is probably the case. I certainly don't expect any initial miracles, with no history or groundwork having been done here yet.

I would rather we took the 0.5 from Blue Labour, Labour or the Lib Dems than UKIP though. Given the focus of the party will not be the EU or immigration, I don't see it clashing much with the UKIP vote.

Do by leections get a free leaflet postal delivery like general elections ? If so Libertarian Party has a chance to pick up votes by a full gusto leaflet ripping into the shameful authoritarian track record of New Labour since 2007 and increasingly anti democracy repressive utterances of Lib Dem big wigs and MEPs . The real target is to push Labour into 4th place by eroding it's and Lib Dem vote from all directions to smaller parties whilst stimulating coffee circuit New Labour to abstain or even shift to Lib Dems .
