Twenty-thousand leaflets have been delivered to the Henley office and we are hoping to have them distributed as soon as possible.


The by-election follows Boris Johnson's appointment as London Mayor and our candidate is local businessman Chris Adams. Chris is 45 and runs a fitness centre in Aylesbury. He is a professional instructor and has also set up a charity which helps youngsters learn gymnastics.


A member of UKIP since 2004, he is our PPC for Aylesbury and contested the seat for us in the 2005 general election. He is energetic and deeply committed to our Party, and he deserves our full support.


This is an important high profile by-election and UKIP needs to be in there, particularly as the campaign will be taking place during the Lords vote on the Lisbon treaty and the Irish referendum. The by-election has not yet been called but we want to get in for an early start.


Finally, elections cost money and we are therefore appealing to members and supporters to help fund our campaign.
