So, how long can Brown hold on? And who can replace him?

A black day for Labour. Oh those miserable reds can go and cry their eyes out.
I'm wondering if GB isn't going to make it to the next general election as leader.

This is a sensational result though. On Labour's current form the question is not so much who will be the next leader but if the Party can survive as a serious political force. This was the twenty fifth safest seat in the land. Even accounting for the special circumstances of by election politics if Labour have been reduced to this now imagine what will happen in the 2010 GE by which time the economy will be in total ruins. We have a situation in the UK now similar to that in the US. We have a couple of candidates frantically milling around in a battle to see who will be on the last chair when the music stops. Personally I think they must be mad, the prize for winning this contest is not a Hanna Montana Jigsaw but for a niche in the great halls of history alongside Nero, Nixon, Mussolini and Montezuma II. |

It can only get worse for Labour. They have lost control of the economy. They have no safe seats at by-elections. Brown will never be re-elected and a change of leader is like shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic.
The momentum, however, will see voters rally behind Cameron and UKIP could disappear as could most LibDem MPs.

Camoron the dipstick won't change anything if his Tories win the next election. He will continue the NuLab project whilst Labour on the opposition benches squabble over which direction and strategy to take.
Something tells me that both Bliar and Camoron have been planted as leaders by the same people who pull the strings of politics and devised the NuLab project.
