But do you really think that the Treaty will be ratified now? Won't that be a step too far this time?

If the Treaty is ratified and adopted by the EU, it will remove any doubt that these people - the EU Commission and the Council of Ministers - do not mean what they say when they announce caveats such as: it must be unanimously ratified by ALL members. It will demonstrate that the Irish did not really have any choice at all, that Yes meant Yes and No meant Yes!

Once unrest breaks out about this treaty, it will be very difficult to stop, and the likelihood now is that when unrest about it occurs, will not be confined to one member state.

Independence Now! is just starting out

I believe it will be ratified. After all, this grand European 'project' has been around in one form or another for decades (in fact it was the idea of a British civil servant called Arthur Salter in the 1920's) and has been in construction for about fifty years or more. It isn't reasonable to expect those who have been building it to stop now just when the final blocks are being put into place. It has always been an undemocratic project too right from the word go.
