    A recipe for independence?

    ----

Why the government can’t understand calls for an English Parliament A National Conversation For England

Now this is well worth reading . . . and re-reading! It is closely argued in places.

Whether or not you agree with it, it is a good [nay, excellent in the proper sense of the word] piece of writing!

    I commend it.

Good review. The critical comments expose the fundamental flaws of the government response but I also find it telling that we see politically emotive terms such as "global warming" thrown in without the slightest indication of why these are relevant or aided by the parliamentary union.

The fact is the current system is flawed. An parliament where Scottish and Welsh MP's can vote to charge English students when their own are receiving free education is not a functioning democracy. Times are changing, people are slowly waking up to the injustice and arrogance of the current system. Fob offs will not save the government forever.
