Thumbs down Firefox 3 release...

I've just read that Firefox 3 won't be released until June.

PC Pro: News: Firefox 3 "will launch in June"

I was originally looking forward to the launch coinciding with the launch of Hardy, but it's been delayed. To say I'm disappointed by the delay would be an understatement.

Anyone know what's caused it?

I ask because, despite how stable Beta 5 is, some online functions - such as online banking - are only currently working with Firefox 2 - a situation that's not likely to change until Firefox 3 is officially released.

To get round the problem I'm having to use Opera at the moment (anything but IE!) which is slightly annoying, but it's far from my browser of choice, especially in Ubuntu.

Shame.

Ever considered using Firefox 2 in a separate install

I have actually, it created some sort of weird paradox where sometimes when I launched Firefox it would launch into Fx 3, others it would launch into Fx 2.

Slow, but then again, look at Blizzard, they delay theior games alot, but in the end the quality is shockingly good.

I meant Mozilla's products!

No, I don't play WoW. I don't know why, it doesn't seem to appeal too me.

Yeah, WoW doesn't appeal to me either.

Mozilla's products are excellent. A delay is preferable to a poor launch.
