Labour MP Alan Keen died on 14th November 2011.
Alan Keen MP was the member of parliament for Feltham and Heston, so this must cause a by-election to be held soon, probably early 2012.
Lets get behind the Anti-EU Patriot's candidate, and support him whatever party puts up the candidate.

In terms of the 2012 by-election, I would say every party has a lot to be worried about. Labour need to hold it, the Tories should be aiming to win it, and the LibDems would require staying ahead of UKIP.
On that specific topic, UKIP need the right candidate - would that mean Nigel Farage?

I can't see the Tories winning this. With the useless call me dave in charge, most 'Tory' voters will either not bother or vote UKIP.
If it was a proper Tory party and leadership, then I would give them a chance, it's of place where enough people could come out to vote and make a difference.
Although it is a blue collar area, much of it borders middle class areas, such as Whitton, Twickenham and Hampton.

The euro currency is in crisis. This is the perfect time for the Anti-EU camp to increase their vote share. The public are becoming increasingly anti-EU, and our message should be to reinforce the euroscepticism that already exists in the minds of the voters.

In what strength is the UKIP branch around this part of London?

I think the time is right for Nigel Farage step forward, and go for a big anti-EU publicity stunt in this by-election. There is no chance of winning but the publicity will be huge. Nigel Farage is the man to make the most of this golden opportunity.
Looking back to the 70s, 80s & 90s the NF & BNP got some good returns here:

But what with Griffin admitting "London's finished" (and he has a point!) and what with the Euro crisis, a Farage campaign could really make hay here.

I looked at the links that you have supplied. I find that there were two General Elections in 1974. There was one in February 1974 and another in October 1974. The first resulted in a hung parliament and the defeat of Edward Heath. Harold Wilson then formed a minorty government. The second General election in 1974 was a narrow win for Harold Wilson, with a very small majority.
In February 1974 the National Front did well in Feltham and Heston.
General Election February 1974 National Front 2,653 votes and 4.4%.
But after this the National Front faded away gradually until they got a reasonable vote again in 2010.
General Election 2010 BNP 1,714 votes and 3.5%
