I didn't say it wasn't.

I saw this story a while ago. Upon looking into it, it seems tremendouly obfuscated. From what I understood, the clause supposedly allowing the use of capital punishment is a commentry of sorts, and non-legally binding in the treaty in question. However, given the way the EU tends to 'interpret' its vague wordings, it's slightly worrying nevertheless.
