I do wonder how many people have stopped to think just why Brown was so hell bent on pushing through “Lisbon”?

That the reason might have far more to do with covering a huge black hole in our economy, a black hole that HE created by his staggering incompetence and consequential failure to read the economic runes as India and China took off during his stewardship in the treasury resulting in him assuming tins were just “doing the cycle”.

That having seen the black hole he, like many other leading politicians have realised that though our prospects within Europe and the ECB are not good they are nowhere near as much of a disaster that our future would be in attempting to go it alone?

We have become a nation more deeply in debt to foreigners than any other G7country is or has ever been in history and our principle foreign earning sector, financial services, are being taken away as others offer the same facilities with greater security at a lower cost.

We are becoming banana republic “sans fruit et climate”.

The destruction of our economic security has been achieved without any outside help whatsoever.

It’s entirely home grown.

What put the final kiss of death on it has been the staggeringly incompetent management of our finances in favour of over inflating the British economy so creating the mirage of economic well being.

Now the mortgages that Brown took out on our behalf are coming due.

There is a Global financial crisis, it is as a result of gross imbalance of payments for a number of years especially by the US and of course ourselves.

But that imbalance has been made infinitely worse by Brown over the years taking on billions of pounds as loans to prop up the idiotic New Labour ideology, and all the other measures that he should have been taking but did not to at least manage the trade imbalance.

This government is the worst thing to hit these shores since the Black Death. How ironical that both disasters have been brought about by rats.
