Brief extract from the article on the link to the UKIP website given in the last posting to this thread: (Quote) UK Independence Party MEP Jeffrey Titford has told the European Parliament that the massive increases in fuel costs could destroy what remains of Britain’s fishing fleets. The Eastern Counties MEP said fishermen were now "in the invidious position of being unable to put to sea in order to catch the meagre amounts of fish they are still allowed to land, because the cost of fuel makes it unprofitable before they start."
