Default Barroso should quit! Facebook group

Barroso should quit!

Quote:
"The European Commission believes the remaining ratifications should continue to take their course... The treaty is not dead. I believe the treaty is alive. "
- Jose Manuel Barroso, EC President

When Ireland voted against the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution on the 12th June, this was the third major public defeat for José Manuel Barroso's vision of the EU.

First the French, then the Dutch and now the Irish have all said 'no' to more EU integration. The only reason that more of the electorate across the EU haven't said no is because they have been denied a vote.

So did President Barroso come up with a new vision that the people of Europe could accept? No, he said that the ratification process must continue.

Our European Union President has no public mandate in the first place, and has failed not once, not twice, but three times to gain support from the European public for his plans for an EU superstate. It is time for him to resign.

Don't we want him to stay? , as with him the EU seems to achevie less
Do you want him to be replaced with someone who actually gets the ball moving?

Since it doesn't look like we will be leaving the EU any time soon, I would rather he was replaced with someone who wanted less powers for the EU, and will improve the levels of democracy, efficiency and financial management.

It is impossible to overhaul the EU, it is institutionally corrupt right from the core.
The EU sacked their accountant for revealing the truth of how corrupt it really was. The books have not been checked for 12 years.

The EU and democracy do not mix, since the constant transfer of power results in smaller voices of countries as the state becomes larger.
