What I can't get over though is that all three parties were in the "Yes" camp. The "Yes" vote was well organised and well funded and doing better than the "No" to the extent all the pundits assumed it would be an easy win. The "No" camp were a right odd mixture and mainly grass roots and it defeated the political establishment, who were all about to sell their country down the river. If only England were as smart as that. Maybe it will go that way eventually and the grass roots groups in England win the popular opinion and get us out of this dictatorship. I think our country has a lesson to be learnt.

I'm still dying of a hang over!! lol! Great celebrations last night! It was a very long and hard 6 months for us but we did it! No one group won this, it was an overall collective effort by all the groups and activists!
Libertas was the most effective though because they do have the money and they do get on TV. They sent out fliers to nearly every house in Ireland. I actually met Declan Ganley, leader of libertas, last night he's a very nice guy (bought me a pint ).As for our group, We Are Change (Ireland) and wiseupjournal.com we made a documentary which got over 60,000 views with no advertisement. No1 watched video on Google Videos for months. We also handed out 80,000 fliers and 1,000 DVD's. Also canvassed 1000s of peoples homes. Shinn Fein were effective too, they were out on the streets a lot also. They even went door to door the day of the vote offering those who have not yet voted a lift to the polling stations. Another group called COIR, a very very effective and wonderful group. Good spirit among them. They were the ones who put up most of the No posters. They were always out on the streets. They also sent fliers to nearly every house in Ireland and we did door to door canvassing with these guys too. Thanks to all the groups and activists and to all the people who have supported and listened to us! ![]() |

@Gu3rr1lla well done mate , i watched and passed around your group`s video End of Nations ,top job on knocking that up to We Are Change Ireland i think you really made a big difference.
![]() i only hope Ireland is ready to keep up the opposition as i fear that this is a long way from over , and we here in England have to mobilise people to do something about them continuing to ratify this insidious constitution/treaty . |

Well done to all those in The Emerald Isle who voted against this Treaty and well done to those in Libertas, Coir and other groups set up to fight this latest power-grab attempt by the anti-democratic and anti-freedom EU elite. We have seen Mr. Ganley (of Libertas) and Mr. Greene (of Coir) interviewed on the media here in the UK and the Irish Independent newspaper reported yesterday that Libertas might possibly contest next year's EU Election. The EU will now try to introduce the measures in the unwanted and rejected EU Constitution Lisbon 'Treaty' anyway and we will all now campaign to try to stop them doing this. |
