Default Direct Action Stickers against E.U. Treaty/Constitution

Back in early 2002, CREC, then named the Campaign for a Referendum on the European Constitution, was the first campaign guoup in the country to produce direct action campaign material calling for a national referendum on the proposed European Constitution.

Most notably, this campaign material included purple postcards pre-addressed to The Queen, each one individually numbered, bearing the simple slogan: "No European Constitution without a Referendum". By the time Tony Blair, through griited teeth, conceded a referendum in May 2004, over 175,000 British people had bought, signed and sent off our purple petition postcards to The Queen. At one time they were flooding into Buckingham Palace at over 500 every day (and the Royal Mail had a welcome injection of cash from stamp-buying).

At the time, we also produced a sticker, 17" x 3.5" in white Times New Roman lettering on a purple background, that reads like this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

No European Constitution,
without a Referendum
.

Contact CREC www.european-referendum.org.uk Tel: 01279 635789

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We were selling these at £1 each at the time and sold many.

We still have a substantial quantity which we are now making available at below cost to anyone who can make use of them. They are especially useful for exterior windows (e.g car rear windows) and surfaces, e.g. 'bus stops, official buildings, road signs, and wherever you think the public would not be offended if they saw them. It's especially useful to stick them above about 8 feet i.e. where officials can't easily reach them without summoning a ladder.

WARNING: The adhesive is on the back so they stick on top of surfaces, so they're not particularly suitable for window interiors.

We can supply 8 at a time for just £1 in stamps or cheques to CREC, send to Tony Bennett, 66 Chippingfield, HARLOW, Essex, CM17 0DJ

--------------------------------------

NOTES:

1. After May 2004, the CREC Committee met and changed its name to Campaign to Reject the European Constitution. We are affiliated to and a member organisation of Alliance Against the European Constitution (President: Lord Stoddart)

2. The Chairman of CREC is UKIP County Organiser for Cambridgeshire, Derek Norman

3. We still have some purple postcards available, for a supply ring me on 01279 635789

Ireland must have a referendum, their constitution apparently says so. Many Irish people watch UK channels, are we allowed to take out adverts telling them to say NO as our channels aren't governed by the Irish? I know we couldn't if we had a referendum but is it different in this case. Maybe it isn't a good idea to tell the Irish what to do but we need to do something!

Watching the news now - Tories making me sick with all their moaning, even the BBC are shoving Maastrict back at them.
