A suitably aquatic venue for the reappearance of the Octopus, I think.

EU SUMMIT - HAMPTON COURT - 27th NOVEMBER

As part of the British Presidency of the EU and unofficial summit is being held at Hampton Court to discuss the EU's social policies and their impact on jobs.

UKIPs answer is simple: "Europe isn't Working".

As the only UK Party opposed to the creation of the single market, and bold enough to speak out about how various forms of social protection cause damage, I can tell you that we will have a demonstration, as UKIP, on 27th November. We are in discussions with the Metropolitan Police about timings and locations and will be peaceful though vociferous.

I will be there myself for the protest and will let you have more details soon.

Round One of this contest will begin in Strasbourg on Wednesday 26th November when Mr Blair will present his plans for the Hampton Court meeting to the European Parliament. As co-leader of the Independence and Democracy Group I will be responding.

Keep up the fight!

Nigel Farage, MEP
UK Independence Party
I guess it's been moved back a month. Be there or be square!

Somebody needs to double check on which is the correct date. Dont want to be neutralised by a simple typo or even a body swerve from Nigel et al. 8)

A case of another deliberate? :x Or maybe its just me,trusting nobody. :?

So,was Nigel misquoted? If he was,who by?UKIP or the Press? The distinct similarity between the words November and October can cause confusion for some reporters/press officers and therefore can be blamed for the error, cant it? ops:

We were lucky,we could have all missed the Hampton Court demo by UKIP. :x

Clive Page, one of UKIP's press officers has asked me to pass on that this is a mistake - it is indeed this month.

I dont want to bang on about this November/October date mix up,but, I cant get my head round how,November can be written INTO phpbb_the quote instead of October.People just dont write November instead of October eh?

My gut tells me it had to be a deliberate act,but by whom?

Nah it wasn't deliberate. I have worked in an office for a decade and this sort of thing happens all the time.

They corrected it quickly and we all know now. I hope to see all of the forum members there.

UKIP are planning their own response at the gates of Hampton Court, with the simple message:

"European Union isn't Working".
We are gathering in the car park of the Mitre Hotel (directly opposite the Palace) at 9.00 am. The Metropolitan Police have arranged for an area to be cordoned off for UKIP supporters, where we will be directed. However, we do need a good showing of support to emphasise our message clearly.

Members should note that the day will be long, and we plan to protest until 17.00. Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing depending on the weater outlook (there are fears that it could rain on Thursday).
AHHHHHhhh, I was convinced this was a Friday! I won't be able to make flipping Thursday. Please can anyone who can make it, do so!
