I believe a Rerun of the European Elections would actually be worse for UKIP than better.
For one reason it would give the Labour Party more time to regroup and re organise.

Ive herd from 4 people who all had the ballot paper folded and all said it didnt take a genius to unfold it.

More publicity for UKIP though :]

What sort of publicity? That UKIP voters are not geniuses?

You won't here much more about this folded paper stuff.

It was a publicity stunt, that got UKIP some coverage on the BBC and various other outlets all day. Blogs, facebook and forums like this were buzzing all day.

Very well run campaign. Lots of publicity. The absolute most feeble attacks they could have hoped for overall. No big new scandals as promised by team traitor.

Now lets see how well they do. Going on the Dutch result, I think there could be some powerful messages being sent.

Now I am out of UKIP campaign mode and back to building LPUK, I will say I think the BNP will get 1 seat. The Greens will take some of UKIPs thunder, but UKIP have a chance of second place. Might just miss and get 3rd again.

Are you suggesting that UKIP has invented this story?! Or that Nigel Farage will use this as a justification for the party not doing as well as he had hoped (should that become the case)?

Could you clarify what you mean by "publicity stunt"?

I think they took a valid story and milked it for all it is worth.

They are learning from the big boys. You see an event and you ride it for all it is worth.

    Fair enough.

I'd like to thank you for putting aside your usual party affiliations to support, help, and extend UKIP's message for these elections. As a member of the party, outside support is always welcome and I, for one, am happy to have had you temporarily on board. Good luck with the Libertarian Party - I am not averse to them at all! The policies and the idea behind setting up the LPUK resonates with me in particular - I have been known to fit the libertarian bill.

Kypros, you appreciate that Matt Davies was UKIP parliamentary candidate in Woking? He knows a bit about UKIP as evidenced in back posts on this forum.

I am aware of Mr Davies's past involvement in UKIP but he currently represents another party and has temporarily lent his support to mine during these elections; that is sufficient to thank him for his hard work.

If 2,500 people really have called UKIP about this matter, the real number of people affected must be enormous.

100,000 lost votes would likely be a severe under-estimate.

Yup, it could be much more.
