    Global warming hitting the USA

BBC News - Snowstorm paralyses Washington DC and eastern US

An \"extremely dangerous\" storm has dumped large amounts of snow in the eastern US, shutting down the capital.
About 10in (25cm) of snow had fallen by 0100 (0600 GMT) in Washington, with forecasters predicting the heaviest snowfall to hit the area in 90 years.
Museums closed, transport was widely disrupted, and residents were told to prepare for up to five days indoors.
A rare 24-hour blizzard warning is in effect for the Washington-Baltimore area until 2200 (0300 GMT Sunday).
The storm - dubbed \"snowpocalypse\" and \"snowmageddon\" by the local media - is expected to stretch from Indiana to Pennsylvania and into parts of New York and North Carolina.
Of course, this is due to global warming. It's the hottest February ever according to the alarmists.

Despite all of this, the BBC is still reporting that this is the hottest year - around the globe - on records.

Yes, this 'global warming has to mean that everywhere gets warmer, not that weather patterns change in a variety of ways' never gets old.

Note to mods: I remember when were able to 'preview' posts. Is that still possible?

They should have held it in Toronto. It's freezing there and hasn't stopped snowing for weeks.

I'm going skiing in France soon (first time in a decade or so) and note that where I am going the temperature, in a few days, is a balmy max of -17ºc and min of -28ºc (with a day time wind chill of -28ºc). Don't think that I'll spend a lot of time at the top of the mountain as that is a wee bit colder -27ºc/-37ºc (-48ºc)

Don't they need mountains for that sort of thing?
