Well, you might like to read carefully this 'parody' of Monckton - imo hilarious and better written than anything by Booker:-

Mycroft Monckton makes mischief ? Hot Topic

But it's probably too subtle for most of you no-brainers here.
Denial is a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.
Denial is a mechanism of the immature mind, because it conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality.

OMG ! No comment from Clippo on Booker's very concise, and factual article.
So, that's it folks ! I can now confirm that Clippo is in Denial !

Any chance of actually pulling out the most crazy thing that Monckton has actually said, for us to analyse here?

I wouldn't want to think you were just mud slinging.

Umm the author of the article - how is he qualified on this subject?

Gareth Renowden (MA Oxon) is the author of the award-winning The Truffle Book (Limestone Hills 2005), The Olive Book (Canterbury University Press 1999) and Video – The Inside Story (Collins (UK) 1983). He has written for and worked on a wide variety of magazines and newspapers in Britain, NZ and the US. He is trying to grow truffles, olives and grapes on a small farm in North Canterbury, and is immediate past president of the NZ Truffle Association. He is a member of the committee of the NZ Meteorological Society, deputy chair of the North Canterbury Radio Trust, and a founder member of the Waipara River Protection Group.
Must be very respected! Surprised that he doesn't even have a wiki page. Everyone who is anyone has one, or so it seems, but maybe not this truffle/olive farmer.

EDIT - in case you are unaware of the NZ Met Society - "The Meteorological Society of New Zealand (Incorporated 1979) is an independent group of weather enthusiasts with the stated aim to encourage an interest in the atmosphere, weather and climate, particularly as related to the New Zealand region." Or is he a member of a different body?

    And another sobriquet - no-brainer.

The higher you build your sobriquet, the taller I become. (with apologies to Labby Sifre).

I predicted it would be too subtle for you no brainers - and you prove me right again
