Default David Bellamy: BBC shunned me for denying climate change

Daily Express | Express Yourself :: BBC shunned me for denying climate change

"I am a scientist and I have to follow the directions of science but when I see that the truth is being covered up I have to voice my opinions."

"The sad fact is that since I said I didn’t believe human beings caused global warming I’ve not been allowed to make a TV programme."

"The thing that annoys me most is that there are genuine environmental problems that desperately require attention. For example, we must stop the destruction of tropical rainforests, something I’ve been saying for 35 years."

What about this most interesting quote - ring any bells for anyone Clippo ?

"The idiot fringe have accused me of being like a Holocaust denier, which is ludicrous."

    Gwupple me gwapenuts !

Clippo, can you please confirm what you mean when you talk about "deniers" or "denialists" ?
Only 1's that don't know, are the genuine people thinking it's about others sharing their own ideas.

Alternatively, from an interview with the Guardian he gave in 2002 :-
It was then that Goldsmith asked him to stand against Major. "In some ways it was probably the most stupid thing I ever did because I'm sure that if I have been banned from television, that's why. I used to be on Blue Peter and all those things, regularly, and it all, pffffft, stopped."
Actually, he says, his TV career had stopped some time before that - he made his last BBC series eight years ago. Perhaps he is too scruffy for telly these days, I suggest. He gives me a look. "There are some bloody scruffy people on television these days. Very scruffy in what they think and the way they talk."

I won’t mention his ’glaciers aren’t melting’ Faux Pas

Does he really know what he’s talking about - I doubt it ?????

The BBC is worse than Pravda. I was listening to the radio the other night on the BBC World Service, and the BBC were covering the American elections. For the first half an hour I listened, not one mention was made to any policy the two contenders had! Not one mention. After that I switched off, because all I got was pro-Democrat waffle and as little mention as possible of the Republicans, e.g. the BBC base their location at a Democrat rally and keep going on about the first black president. Now when I finally had the patience to switch the radio back on, the only policy they talked about was international agreements.

So you see the BBC are simply a tool of the globalists, who represent a worldwide socialist state. Nu Labour and Democrats are good in the BBC's view, as are feminists, homosexuals and climate change freaks. David Bellamy is a scientist, so he does not get a look in. I suppose they tried to use him to put his credibility behind the scam, but like I say, he is a scientist and he is an honest chap. I have much respect for him and have enjoyed his programmes going right back to when I was a young child. He puts the BBC to shame.

You seem to have a problem reading & understanding information that is clearly in the public domain.
All I have done is pointed out some discrepancies in his story - that Dr Bellamy has given 2 different reasons for his apparent dismissal from the BBC.
(Actually, from my link he gives 2 possible reasons so that's 3 so far). Such inconsistencies don't engender confidence in any other of his utterances - perhaps they get garbled leaking out of his beard.

What will the reasons be for the BBC spat in his next interview ?

PS nice to see you back Besoeker - your commonsense has been sorely missed.

Well Clippo does seem to have pointed to two diffrent reasons why Dr Bellamy may not be allowed to make a program for the BBC so it is fair that he points this out.

What he does not point out (understandably enough) is that both the decision to speak out about global warming and the decision to stand against the weak and windy John Major challenged the establishment view.

And of course we all know the BBC is a branch of the establishment, and why is this? well it can only be because they want to retain the TV poll tax, known by many as the hated TV Licence.

I suspect many others of the ilk of Bellamy share his views but put their carears before their beliefs. There aint a lot of money in being a denialist.

So this genuine environmental problem, to use Bellamy's words, is man-made.
