Clippo, [perhaps this should be a new thread] have you taken any note of the way that EU laws regarding carbon emissions favour the the giant corporations? Each time I do my citizens duty and deposit my empty bottles in the clear, brown and green bottle banks I am conscious of the the amount of heat required to melt glass and to form it into new bottles. Objectively, an early EU environmental law requiring supplies to reuse glass bottles seems an easy way to reduce some emissions. Using reusable glass instead of plastic bottles also seems to have the same result. I am sure there are many other examples which would reduce carbon emissions and save on landfill [where the public are penalised] if the authorities chose to target the producing corporations rather than the user.
