BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Next decade 'may see no warming'
This article should have been placed on the comedy section of the BBC website. The GW numpties are now beginning to see they have got it completely wrong, and are now trying very hard to come up with some ridiculous stories to cover up their complete ineptitude. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So. If we hadn't had MMGW, we would be in crisis in the middle of an ice age right?
We saved the day! Hurray for humans!

You all got it wrong again – and exposed yourselves for the ……. you are.
The news article referred to by the BBC was also covered in the DT the other by Charles Clover :- Global warming may 'stop', scientists predict - Telegraph Immediately when I read it, I saw the ‘flaws’ and considered writing to the DT about it but I have had internet connection problems for a few days. Not that I ever thought Charles Clover did this maliciously – he is a firm AGW believer – it was just the language used in the article. Obviously, many other people saw the flaws because he wrote an ‘apology’ / clarification the next day as follows :- Earthlog: Climate change boomerang - Telegraph To summarize for you :- A German researcher is / has published paper in Nature, (peer-reviewed), claiming that if the MOC slows, it will affect climate change :- 1. The crackpot denialists claim this will affect ‘Global’ warming – in fact it mainly applies to parts of the Northern hemisphere (mostly Europe) and 2. This is a ‘prediction’ based on a computer model . Hmmm – I seem to remember clearly one or more posters here of the denialist camp saying words to the effect very recently that: Computer models are a load of cr@p – garbage in, garbage out. Seems to me, and I have said this before I think, You denialists are very selective in your judgements – only believing what you want to and denying scientific truth !!! ( Stick that in your pipes & smoke it Ha Ha Ha Ha ) ) ) ) )) |

Oh no Davies - no way way you can distort that.
I've clearly nailed YOUR ******** to the wall on that. IT WAS YOU ![]() (To be quite clear on these issues, this new MOC research may indeed have some substance. All I ever claim is that a) GW is real and the trend is continuing, b) natural factors almost certainly play a part, c) but I concur with the consensus and the IPCC, that mankind's emission's of CO2 from all sources is the major causative factor. ) Last edited by Clippo; 03-05-2008 at 09:30 AM. |

Interesting how the sceptics seem to accept the topic of the article but not its tone - it is still very clearly favouring AGW. Just read what the quoted scientists are saying.
BTW, it doesn't mention a cooling - it mentions something which would be a cooling if the Earth were just being affected by natural factors. As it is, the graph of the predictions quite clearly shows nothing more than a temporary plateau, in line with the Met Office's predictions last year. Indeed, the plateau even lasts until about 2010, not so far from the Met Office's 2009. So this is not only supportive of AGW but in accordance with the Met Office's models. It shall be interesting to see what the future holds.
